Dutch born and bred Dj Ralvero, or Ralf Baartmans as he’s know to his family and close friends, is from Roosendaal a small city in the south of the Netherlands. From a very early age he was touched by music and was always practicing on pots and pans before finally getting his first professional drum lessons. After a hardworking six years of getting the knack of playing the drums, Ralvero was ready to unleash his own produced tracks to the world.
His very first fruit of labor “Party People” from 2009, was picked up by leading dance label Sneakerz MUZIK (offshoot of Spinnin’) and was one of the fine and early examples of the now popular ”EDM” sound. It was championed by all the heavy hitters in the game, including Chuckie, Laidback Luke and international stars Axwell, Carl Cox plus numerous others. The track made it to countless compilation albums and is still regarded as a sure fire dance floor filler and to this day pops up in playlists around the world. Due to the popularity of the “Ralvero sound” the logical step was that he was asked to remix for labels as diverse as Defected (UK), Strictly Rhythm (US), Ultra (US) to name a few plus his “De Bos – On The Run” for Cloud 9 was according to him one of his stand out remixes. Next to his production skills he was mastering his Dj skills and was asked to join 1Management agency back in… The immense popularity of his sound led him to perform all over the world in places like Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Athens, Istanbul, Paris and London.
Rolling back to 2011 his track “In My Bedroom” (featuring the vocals of Dadz-N-Effect) was a huge hit in almost all Balkan countries like Serbia, Albania, Croatia and Greece (where he scored a #1 dance hit). Soon enough Turkey got hold of this and the track was aptly re-called “In My Bodrum” (Bodrum being a very popular sun, sea and dance touristic city) and 2012 saw him performing on almost monthly base visiting cities like Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara in all their popular clubs. Due to his exciting DJ performances this led to the track reaching again #1 and was branded the summer anthem of 2012 in Turkey and receiving more than 10 million views on YouTube. As unquestionably the track still has massive appeal Ralvero is gearing up to release more productions for 2013.
His new 2013 collaboration/co-produced track on Spinnin’ with fellow Dutch Dj and producer Quintino “Jackpot” is a fine case in point of merging the new generation “EDM” sound and putting their unique stamp on the international dance scene. Furthermore his self produced tracks “Rage and Xtreme” were both released on Hysteria, (Bingo Players label) and both reached the top charts of Beatport and were heavily supported by Hardwell, Bingo Players, David Guetta, Tiësto and Swedish House Maffia to name just a few.
Looking to the future Ralvero is focused on bringing his trademark sound to the world as a next generation DJ and producer and his personal goals to grab the music scene by the neck and perform at as many countries as possible are looking quite bright. 2013 is set not to be only the year of (according to the Chinese) The Snake but also Ralvero’s breakthrough with his cracking sound.
